Where/What to ‘makan’ this Ramadhan?

After an entire day of fasting, it’s only right to treat your famished body to a buffet of mouth-watering spread. We have found the perfect checklist for you to reward your taste buds with some of the most amazing buffets– without breaking bank.

#1 Kababish at StarPoints Hotel, KL – RM39 (worth up to RM240)

Here at Kababish, be prepared to feast on traditional local favourites such as nasi impit, daging masak kunyit, sambal ayam, ikan sembilang masak tempoyak and sup kambing berempah. That said, what’s truly unique about Kababish is that they specialise in Pakistani cuisine which are also included in their Ramadhan menu. Get ready to feast on some of the most famous Pakistani dishes such as gulab jamun, aloo ghobi, chicken hara masala, fish tikka and samosa chaat.

#2 G Tower, KL RM59 (worth up to RM950)

You know you can expect nothing less than perfection when your food is prepared under the supervision of a chef who has had an amazing 20 years plus experience in preparing authentic local cuisine. We recommend trying out their specialty dishes such as kambing bakar enak, ayam percik istimewa (also recommended by blogger KYspeaks.com) and barbecued whole roast lamb.

#3 Dondang Sayang, Corus Hotel – RM69 (worth up to RM230)

Located just within a 5 minute walking distance from Suria KLCC, the Dondang Sayang restaurant is part of the 4-star Corus Hotel. Treat yourself to Western, Asian and local favourites including its signature Hainanese chicken rice pads. And if you’re in mood for grilled seafood and meat, their live stations will certainly satisfy those cravings.

#4 Shah Alam Convention Centre, RM59

For foodies who aren’t in the KL area, fret not, Shah Alam Convention Centre welcomes patrons to buka puasa at their restaurant which serves up to a bountiful array (120 to be exact!) of ‘ala kampung’ dishes including their signature kambing kabuli, sambal prawns with petai and ayam percik Kelantan. Our only advice? Be there early or make a reservation!
